Later, he called him back and Rakesh told over phone about some quarrel with one of his friends.

The police also found that Rakesh Reddy was into land settlements and several land-related documents were found in his possession. The DCP said that anyone, including police officials, if found to be connected with the case will not be spared and action as per the law will be initiated. He further said that Rakesh Reddy was in touch with leaders of various political parties but after the murder of Jayaram, he did not contact anyone. The police are in touch with Jayaram’s wife Padma Shree too.
